AZIMUTH is an investment management firm dedicated to helping people get more out of life. After more than 35 years of experience in UHN wealth management we launched our products in 2020 in British Virgin Islands with the purpose of chasing capital growth under any market condition.

OBJECTIVES

The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to achieve a high total return and capital growth by investing at least 60% of its Net Asset Value in Emerging Markets Bonds and other fixed income instruments. The sub-fund invests mainly in 4 different strategies: short term carry trades, medium term carry trades, pure convexity trades, and structured bonds such as hybrid or fix-to-floats. The allocation on each strategy varies according to different market conditions and sub-fund general strategy. Leverage is used as a key tool in order to boost performance of short term strategies, as well as short term cashflow, which will vary between 0-65% of NAV, depending on market / volatility conditions, and sub-fund general strategy.

The fund invests primarily in the market for emerging market bonds. Its investment objective is to attain above-average capital growth over the long term.

Investment Thesis

The main investment objective is to obtain a high total return over the long run, under any market condition. Several steps combining top-down and bottom-up analysis are performed to identify investment opportunities in emerging markets given different market conditions.
The fund benefits principally from 4 income sources:

Core Yield to Maturity from Bonds in portfolio.
Leverage is used depending market conditions in order to boost short term maturities as well as future cashflow.
Securites lending via Euroclear, adding a few more bps on an annual basis.
Capital gains through Convexity Convergence in short-medium duration Bonds.
